Denver Zoo

We had a great weekend! How about you?
We went to Denver early Friday morning( 5am early!) . We went so Shay could get a passport ASAP. He will probably be going to the Bahamas for work in a couple of weeks. I know, I wish I coud go with!
Anyways, he actually ended up being done pretty quick and we decided to go to the Zoo. Daniel had never been to one. It was pretty hot in Denver, but it was actually really nice at the Zoo with all its shady spots.
We had a really good time. Watching Daniel take over the map, and Sam name out the animals. Watching the sea lion ( one of my favorites!) and the mommy and baby Orangutan.
Here's some of the pictures. All of them from my phone, sorry, not the best !

On Saturday we chilled, and I did some house cleaning. Then on Sunday, church, and we had some new friends over for dinner and a great time.
That's it for today. Sam starts school tomorrow, and we have busy week ahead.
Hope everyone has a great one!

Having a little F U N !

A while ago I saw this post at I Am Momma Hear Me Roar (which is by the way, one of my favorite blogs! Thanks Cheri!) and I've been wanting to try it.
Well, what do you know, a couple of weeks ago I was able to find some cool rocks for it. Now, I don't encourage this mean of getting the rocks, BUT I could not help my self. We were on this cool little river, with the best little rocks. My sister was in town for the week, and she actually got the idea. So we put the kids to work at finding smooth little stones.

Lets just say that when we were done my sister bag was VERY heavy!
Then today when my boys started to get bored, I remembered the bag of rocks and decided to get to work.

Here they are halfway done

We decided to do some numbers too

And some I love you's

And never mind that this is what my porch looked like afterwards.
They kids loved painting their little rocks while I made theses. Who knew all I needed to do was to give them some rocks and paint?
Tomorrow we're going to be in Denver for the day. Shay has to go get a Passport there, and me and the kids will come along. I've never been, so I'm excited. Especially since Denver just opened an Ikea!!Yea!( me doing a happy little dance!)
Have a good weekend everyone!

Well, hello there!

I don't even want to know how long it's been since I posted here. And every time I got the courage to come over and post something,I would get so overwhelmed by all the pictures and happenings I didn't post anything.
So today I decided, "you know what? I don't have to post all the pictures, and tell everything that happened. I'll just start with today!"
So here I am, on the Monday before Sam stars kindergarten( Yes, I'm freaking out, thank you very much), it's past noon, and my boys are playing some video games. I am reminiscing about all that didn't get done this summer( aka, my craft projects, more than anything) About the dresser that didn't get painted orange, and my sewing machine table that didn't get painted turquoise( I can't find the right color spray paint!!! ) and so on and so forth. But I am so happy about everything that we did this summer.
Sam turned 5, Daniel turned 2,  we had a great b-day party for them, and I love them more than ever! Sam just learned to ride his bike without training wheels. Daniel cracks me up every day with his clever 2 year old wit! I turned 26.....and I'm starting to feel old...er. Like my sister said, I'm closer to 30 than 20 now. But in truth , age doesn't bother me,at all...yet.
Oh, and yeah...We moved to Colorado!!!! Man, that in it of itself was crazy. Not to mention we decided to do it in a week, and we were moving two weeks later! Can you pack your whole house in two weeks? ummm, yes you can. With lots of help that is. And a purging conscience( we threw away a LOT of stuff) I could not have done it with out my family, and very good friends!Thank you all so much, we love and miss you so!
That said,we also made several road trips to Utah this summer. And we're not done yet, our last one is coming up next week. It's  a bitter sweet feeling. I will be there for 10 days, but my husband will only be there for three, and he will be working, then he flies to IN to see his family for a couple of days, and then be on a conference for work , then he will fly back to UT, pick me up, and we'll drive back home. One good thing, I wont be sitting at home alone! And I will get a chance to hit up all my favorite craft stores   ( hobby lobby, here I come!) and visit with friends, maybe even get a GNO!. Not to say, my boys get to play with their cousins( which they are more like brothers anyways)
Well, that is it for today, my boys timer is up ( yes I use the kitchen timer so tehy know when they're done with the video games) and a trip to Target awaits me!!! Hope yo see you soon, have a good Monday!

Here's a quick picture of the boys birthday, we had way too much fun with that rigged up Optimus Prime pinata! Thanks Connor for the pics, they are great!
